Volunteers
Our shop Volunteers usually commit to work half a day a week, they get involved in all aspects of the shop work and are crucial to its smooth running. Without them just wouldn’t work. If you are available during the day and would enjoy working with customers this might be the volunteering opportunity for you.
Our event volunteers number over 60 who come together to organise all aspects of the special events we put on, particularly our fashion shows. They get involved in everything from modelling to making sandwiches, driving the van to selling the clothes. If you are available in the evenings and at weekends and enjoy talking to people this might be the volunteering opportunity for you.
Drop into the shop to find out about current volunteer opportunities. A volunteer application form is downloadable here
Just advocates
You can promote fair trade and just in lots of ways
Sale or Return
If you would like to introduce family, friends, neighbours or work colleagues to the joys of fair trade we can help. We can provide a box of gorgeous products for you to sell at home, office or at a local event. Come into the shop or ring to book your sale or return. Give us an idea of the type of event it is, size, type of people etc and we’ll match our selection of goods to your requirements. Enjoy selling the goods and return any unsold in good condition with the money to the shop after the event.
Company buying
We offer a free delivery service for tea and coffee sales to city centre businesses and offices. We offer a range of instant and filter coffees, teas, hot chocolate, fruit juice and sugar, biscuits and snacks. Talk to us about your requirements, set up an account with us and we’ll deliver!
Fair trade evenings
There’s no better way to introduce your friends to the joys of fair trade shopping and Just than to have the shop open specially for you. You provide a group of 12 or more, we’ll open and provide free refreshments. We can also offer a short talk about the products and the difference fair trade makes.
Work with youth and adult groups and schools
We provide fair trade education and training activities in a variety of settings including schools, businesses and voluntary organisations. They are, fun and interactive sessions that inform participants to the life transforming power that fairtrade can bring to poor communities in the developing world and empower participants as they see the part they can play in that transformation. |
